ROLE – Mechanical Technician  

LOCATION - West Berkshire



TERM - Permanent

SALARY- £30,000-£38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)


My client designs and manufactures products and systems within the Renewable Energy sector. They are looking for a Mechanical/Field Technician to join their team in Berkshire on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Technician will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Excellent hands-on engineering skills
  • Have a Mechanical background and a relevant qualification
  • Experienced with routine servicing, maintenance, testing and assembly of mechanical systems and electromechanical equipment
  • Able to read engineering drawings and BOMs
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Be flexible to travel 1 or 2 days a week, or as required
  • Holds a full UK Driving Licence


The Mechanical Technician role will involve:

  • Assembly, testing, maintenance and servicing of mechanical systems and electromechanical equipment
  • Some travel to customer sites to deliver and service equipment and machinery
  • Routine maintenance and repair on a variety of components and equipment
  • Working to procedures and instructions
  • Testing and fault-finding
  • Repair and calibration
  • Working both independently and in a team
  • Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues
