Mechanical Technician
An excellent opportunity to work for a global 1st Tier Automotive supplier of cutting edge transmissions, axles and drivelines. Working in a state of the art facility and within an established team of technicians.
Day shift position.
Monday to Thursday 7am - 3.30pm
Friday 7am - 2.30pm
Start and Finish times can be flexible
Salary is up to £35,000
Would suit someone that has had experience as a Vehicle mechanic, HGV mechanic/fitter/technician, PSV technician/mechanic, Rail etc.
About the Team:
Working within a team of 40+ technicians across the site to remanufacture mechanical/electrical assemblies to O.E standards.
What you can look forward to as a Workshop Technician
- Dismantle and re-assemble transmissions, axles and final drives in accordance with pre-determined work instructions and quality specifications
- Inspect components and assemblies for deterioration, wear and serviceability and provide failure analysis on said components
- Work on own initiative and as part of a team to solve work related technical problems
- Operate all plant equipment including mechanical handling, pneumatic/hydraulic/electric tooling and when required test apparatus.
- Carry out all personal practices in an efficient, quality, health and safety conscious and environmentally friendly manner, particularly ensuring a clean and safe working environment is maintained to the required department standard.
Your profile as a Workshop Technician
- Knowledge/experience of dismantling/reassembling transmissions, axles, drivelines etc. or similar products.
- Time served qualification in mechanical engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven problem solver
- IT literate
- Team player
