Company Overview:

My client are a mechanical and electrical contracting service provider established in 2001 with over 400 projects. They are primarily Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing contracting services particularly in the public and private sectors throughout the UK. In response to market demands, the Company has concentrated on developing a broad range of in-house expertise.

They are looking for a Skilled Mechanical Estimator/ Designer based around the stoke area to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Follow and complete the estimating functions to set standards and to the agreed timelines.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors.
• Become proficient with all product offerings, estimating, and e-commerce software tools.
• Create quotes and respond to inbound queries and requests.
• Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products.
• Perform site surveys and attend pre-bid walkthroughs.
• Review mechanical drawings for incoming quote requests.
• Prepare and deliver the standardised presentation templates for each major project/ fit out estimation.
• Understand scope of HVAC work to bid.
• Communicate with the engineering department on new and current projects.
• Prepare job take offs.
• Liaising with the electrical estimating team to create combined M&E project estimates.
• Create high quality quotes and contractors’ proposal for estimated projects.

Skills required

- Experience and confident with CAD software

- Knowledge and experience in design and supporting software’s

- Experience in a Mechanical Estimator role

Benefits

- £40,000-£50,000 per annum . depending on experience

- Other benefits to be negotiated on interview
