Company & Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Mechanical Assembly Technician for our client who are a highly reputable UK leader in the design and manufacturing of specialised/bespoke components for the Nuclear, Oil & Gas and Aerospace industries.

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will carry out mechanical assembly and where appropriate refurbishment of company products.

As the Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be: -

· Assembling various components to high standard of build quality.

· Carry out functional tests to ensure the good are correct and in full working order prior to despatch.

· Maintain stocks of fasteners and fittings to ensure there are no delays to the build.

· Assisting in the on time delivery of the company's products.

· Provide off-site customer support - whilst not required on a frequent basis, technicians are sometimes required to assist customers with training on products at their premises.

· Maintain and comply with Health & Safety rules and regulations at all times.

The successful Mechanical Assembly Technician will have the following skills/experience: -

· Must have a recognised apprenticeship or other qualification within a mechanical discipline.

· Must have hands-on mechanical engineering experience.

· Ability to work from technical drawings.

· Experience using hand tools and manual machines i.e. pillar, drill, lathe and mill.

· Excellent eye for detail

· Excellent communication skills.
