Intelligent Resource is working in partnership with a major Client in the UK. We are currently recruiting for Maximo Business Analyst to be Scotland based out.

Job Title= Maximo Business Analyst

Location = Remote/ Scotland

Duration= 12 months Initially

IR35 Status: Inside

Skills / Experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify business needs and document user stories.
  • Ability to analyse and document existing business processes (As-Is), design of To-Be processes through interaction with business teams, and assist in identifying areas for improvement, suggesting solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Experience in conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement gathering sessions.
  • A solid understanding of enterprise asset management principles and practices, particularly associated with Maximo and ArcGIS would be an advantage.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and management.
  • Capability to analyse complex problems, evaluate alternative solutions, and make recommendations based on data-driven insights.
  • Excellent analysis and knowledge transfer skills.
  • Able to take ownership of problems and requests as well as the ability to work in a pressurised environment.
  • Excellent time management skills, able to effectively plan own and others' time.
  • Able to visualise and articulate proposed solutions to business problems provided by design team to business areas.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise own workload within demanding schedules.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Good facilitation skills, enables people to reach agreement and develop work practices.
  • A systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Forms judgements based on logical conclusions that have been drawn from available facts.

Key Accountabilities

  • Works with business system colleagues to clarify requirements, to plan implementation and to answer queries through the development process.
  • Work closely with IT teams and vendors to implement and customise products according to business requirements.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and meetings with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into system requirements.
  • Marshals and documents requirements for the subsequent identification of an appropriate solution and the detailed design of a business process to accommodate it.
  • Undertakes business analysis projects and tasks under the leadership of the project manager.
  • Plans, prioritises, manages, and executes analysis work on multiple simple or individual complex projects to regularly achieve cost and timescale targets.
  • Works with the business to understand and prioritise conflicting needs.
  • Collaborate with testing teams to develop test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business requirements. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist in resolving issues or defects identified during testing to ensure the quality of deliverables.
  • Undertakes personal responsibility for IT data security by ensuring that rules and practices are identified.
  • Identifies and determines end-to-end business processes using standard methods.
  • Presents business and technical concepts to process owners and business users.
  • Identifies and assesses business and IT risk.
  • Prepares succinct reports and communications that are tailored to different situations and audiences.
  • Carries out in depth scoping exercises during the early stages of a work package to identify key issues of concern and to ascertain clear direction.

Experience

  • Previous experience in implementing Maximo solutions in an enterprise setting would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with asset management principles and practices, particularly in industries such as energy or transmission.
  • An understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the industry, such as environmental regulations, safety standards, etc., and how they relate to asset management.
  • Experience from a similar support or development role in supporting the enhancement of business-critical systems in a medium/large scale organisation.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive breadth and depth of knowledge and experience.
  • Hands on experience of tools like Jira and Azure Dev Ops.
  • Prior experience on Agile projects would be a value add.
