Salary- MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance

Horizon Teachers have an exciting opportunity for a Maths Teacher to join outstanding' specialist independent day school in Birmingham. The school caters for children with speech, language and communication difficulties aged 3 to 19 years. The school has a unique atmosphere created by its forward thinking, dedicated and pro-active team. The successful candidate must be committed to improving outcomes for disadvantaged/vulnerable students who can exhibit challenging behaviour. The ability to inspire, challenge, and motivate both students and colleagues to enable them to exceed their expectations is also a requirement.

What they are looking for
·Be an excellent classroom teacher with the ability to reflect on lessons and continually improve their own practice.
·Have effective and systematic behaviour management, with clear boundaries, sanctions, praise and rewards.
·Think strategically about classroom practice and be able to tailor lessons to pupil needs, motivating and enthusing students who may be reluctant to engage.
·Understand and interpret complex student data to drive lesson planning and pupil attainment.
