***Supporting students aged 11-16 as they progress through the GCSE maths national curriculum.

The Graduate:
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, or a related subject.
  • Genuine passion for the maths field, and a desire to instil this into students aged 11-16.
  • A friendly, approachable personality, alongside the ability to communicate in a clear manner.
  • Previous experience of working with students, or in a school setting, is beneficial but not essential.

The Role
In your role as a Maths Academic Coach, you will be assisting teaching staff in the planning and delivering of engaging lessons that adhere to the maths GCSE national syllabus. You will be monitoring the progress of students to adapt learning materials to suit each individual students’ needs and will provide feedback to both students and parents. It is essential in this role that you build strong bonds with students and staff and partake in activities with the wider school community in order to maintain a positive learning environment.
