We are supporting our client, a well-respected Lloyd’s Insurance Broker, in their search for a marine claims technician to join the business in their amazing London office, on a full time - flexible hybrid basis. You will be utilising your experience in marine claims to cover complex matters. You will be responsible for handling the claims from cradle to grave. Claims will involve both direct and reinsurance business, a mix of both open market and binder placements.

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the receipt of the claim notification and dealing with all documentation. Whilst also dealing with processing of all approved transactions for clients and third parties.

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring various claims and settlements are dealt with effectively and efficiently
  • Liaising with the accounts departments to ensure smooth collection process.
  • Evaluating and maintaining relationships with several external professionals.
  • Taking on any other ad-hoc requirements needed by the business to support the claims side.


The right candidate for this role will have an understanding of the Lloyd’s markets, as this is necessary to successfully process and manage the Claims-related elements of the role. This role requires an individual with prior experience with dealing with out and out marine claims and the understanding of how to prioritise and delegate across them. However, also opened to other classes of business within claims.
