Due to exciting business growth, MBDA has a wide range of opportunities in our Manufacturing Test team across Operations and Engineering over the next 12 months

Job Title: Manufacturing Test Opportunities

Salary: £39,000 - £48,000 depending on position and experience

Location: Bolton

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

We have roles from Test Operators through to Principal Test Engineers and everything in-between. If you have qualifications and experience in electronic/electrical test we would be interested in you submitting your CV.

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Running automated test site (Operator)
• Performing manual test (Operator/Technician)
• Proofreading test instructions (Technicians)
• Authoring test instructions (Engineers)
• Diagnosing product faults (Engineers)
• Integrating new products into manufacturing (Principal Engineers)

What we're looking for from you:

Essential:

• Qualifications in a STEM subject and/or an apprenticeship (as each role has different requirements please ensure your qualifications are present on your CV/covering letter).
• Experience of using both manual and automated test equipment.
• A good understanding of electrical/electronic measurement and test principles and test equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, and knowing when to employ which.
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills, with strong attention to detail.

Role Dependent:

• Knowledge of fault diagnosis techniques for electronic/electro-mechanical sub-assemblies.
• Familiar with enterprise resource planning and manufacturing execution system programs (e.g. SAP, MES) for recording test activities and generating non-conformance reports and concessions.
• The ability to plan and organise own work in order to ensure multiple tasks can be prioritised and delivered against Project objectives.
• Experience in generation of test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports based on higher-level requirements.
