MARS Recruitment is proud to have exclusively partnered a market leading manufacturer of scientific instrumentation to recruit a skilled Manufacturing Technician. This business has steadily grown over the last 20 years but are going through a period of exciting change which you could be part of. Having recently launched a new cutting-edge product which is getting rave reviews and orders from customers, they have just moved into a state-of-the-art manufacturing site with amazing offices.
 
 
The successful Manufacturing Technician will be joining a small team who deal with a range mechanical and light electronic & electrical assembly and testing. You will be given a voice by the Operations Director to suggest and help improve the new facility, production and material flow.
 
 
The role:
On a day to day basis, the Manufacturing Technicianwill be building high tech instrumentation. This is a final assembly role so the majority of the components have already been built and your role will be to put them together following clear engineering drawings and workflow diagrams. There will be a small amount of soldering and fine wiring, but the main part of the role will be mechanical assembly using hand tools, leak testing and more. So if you like variety, this could be the Manufacturing Technician role for you.
 
 
About you:
The successful Manufacturing Technicianwill need to be an enthusiastic and self-motivated technician with excellent analytical and technical skills. You will also have a combination of the following:
  • 2 years hands-on experience in a similar mechanical biased high tech, low volume role
  • Mechanical assembly and testing skills preferably with scientific instrumentation
  • Skilled in the use of tools, equipment and testing equipment
  • Excellent communicator, able to work with colleagues and peers
  • Utilise best practice processes, techniques and continuous improvement methods as introduced
  • A levels, BTEC l/II or HND / HNC
  • Excellent electrical and mechanical understanding
 
Our client is offering an excellent salary of £26,000 - £33,000 plus a yearly bonus, pension, flexible working, and an early finish Friday. This role would really suit someone who wants to develop and grow over the coming years.
