Are you an experienced Manufacturing Production Planner eager for career progression on a global scale, ideally with experience in precision mechanical engineering? This new position has just become available due to internal promotion.
As the Manufacturing Production Planner, you will hold global responsibilities including producing a positive, profitable, and winning environment for manufactured products. You will collaborate with Product Management, the Sales Department, and other resources to clarify the scope of work for product design, manufacturability, and budget.
The role includes:
- Prioritise the scheduling system
- Create manufacturing routes
- Generate Production Routers, sequenced to meet or beat Cost and OTD expectations
- Generate cost estimates to be used when quoting manufacturing projects
- Work with Engineering to guarantee that the design allows for the most efficient method of manufacturing.
- Work with Procurement and Mechanical Engineering to optimise the characteristics of material ordered to allow for efficient manufacturing across a broad spectrum of products
- Work with other resources when required to develop new manufacturing techniques
- Attend technical reviews with Mechanical Engineers
- Attend project close-out meetings
The successful candidate will have:
- Extensive experience in manufacturing including but not limited to welding, fabricating, and machining of multiple materials or equivalent experience
- Self-motivated and able to multitask
- Strong people skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- GD&T knowledge
If you have experience in manufacturing within the Vacuum Science Industry and an HNC in Mechanical Engineering or above or equivalent working experience in a manufacturing related field, this would be an advantage.
Relocation package may be available for the right candidate.
