Salary: £39,123

Hybrid working pattern: This role is a 37 hour on site at Bolton role.

The opportunity:

We are seeking an Electrical Inspector to work as part of our Manufacturing Team. It is an exciting time to join us at our state of the art Bolton Manufacturing facility.

You will be responsible for all elements necessary to achieve and maintain the quality of deliverable hardware.

The Role:

What you will be doing:

  • Certify the product in line with the product certification procedure
  • Examining for correct assembly, including the verification of all forms of electrical connections
  • Examining the finish of all parts to detect faulty finishing or painting, deterioration of surfaces etc.
  • Inspect for physical damage
  • Intermediate inspection checks non product certification activities
  • Check, complete and certify all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack
  • Control defect items via segregation from good product
  • Raise and maintain relevant data records/defect reports
  • Produce relevant inspection/quality control documentation/history sheets
  • Care for and use specialised inspection tools
  • Maintain product certification and approval via regular audits
  • Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process
  • Ensure inspection times are met
  • Maintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and product quality
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Maintain a good housekeeping policy
What we're looking for from you:
  • Formal technical engineering / craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 / TR23 / TR21 is a mandatory requirement
  • Proven and demonstrable experience as a skilled person
  • Team player who is able to demonstrate customer focus and a collaborative nature
  • Planning and organising skills
  • Must demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving and commitment to work as part of a team to deliver the business
  • Must possess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasks
  • Must be willing to contribute to an environment of process improvement
  • IPC 610 certified / trained preferred
