Interim Management Accountant
12-15 month Fixed Term Contract
Newark-on-Trent
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to cover a maternity leave ideally starting in July / August but with potential for an earlier start date for the right person. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing full monthly management accounts, based out of their head office in Newark with occasional travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare full management accounts including month-end reports, and preparing packs for senior management
  • Stock control reporting and management
  • Manage payroll for 120 employees on a monthly basis, with support from payroll administrator for weekly payroll
  • Collaborate with the team to transition accounting systems from Sage 50 to Nav 365 by October 2025, this will be an ongoing project throughout the contract
  • Complete financial analysis and reporting using Excel
  • Maintain a dotted line reporting structure to the Managing Director in Chelmsford
  • Demonstrate flexibility and innovative thinking in handling various financial tasks and challenges
  • Supporting with year end audit and account preparation

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years prior experience in a varied management accountant role
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 is beneficial
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Confident and adaptable approach to handling diverse financial tasks
  • Minimum three days per week working from the office
