Management Accountant

We are currently recruiting for a well established business based in Blackpool who are looking for a solid Management Accountant to join their team. The role will report directly into the Senior Finance team, and you will be involved in all aspects of the business from a month end reporting perspective with particular focus on the commercial variances and outcomes.

Duties will include:

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts including commentary for the board of Directors

• Responsible for the stock reporting/usage and manage any variances.

• Develop the KPIs around customer trend analysis and market appraisals.

• Assist with the budgetary control, expenditure, and overhead management.

• Manage accurately all intercompany reconciliations

• Accruals/Prepayments

• Managing the working capital reporting across multi sites and reporting any variances

• Responsible for the HMRC/VAT submissions

• Monitor sales analysis and GP analysis.

• Manage daily banking and cashflow balances

The role would suit a candidate who has already gained a solid background within the month end reporting cycle but wants to gain more autonomy in a wider business sense. You will work alongside both finance and non-finance personnel and challenge variances where appropriate, influencing decision makers in the wider business.

You will be fully qualified or nearing the end of your studies, (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) and have some solid experience in the month end processes, improving controls here necessary.
