JHE & Partners are delighted to be working exclusively with a local, Bradford business who are looking to recruit a management accountant on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity, newly created on the back of substantial growth with further acquisitions in place.

Reporting into the group Finance Director you will be responsible for producing the management accounts for several sites across the UK, therefore it is imperative you have multi-site experience to be considered for the role. You will work closely with the FD whilst being a point of contact and mentor for the purchase ledger team. Due to the nature of the business, there will be ad-hoc projects requiring your input and expertise, in addition to streamlining processes and utilising the internal system to its full potential.

Duties include:

  • Change and improve the current reporting environment to produce the monthly management accounts including development of P&Ls for all sites for review by the FD

  • To mentor and support the purchase ledger team effectively.

  • To maintain and update the control accounts, including the calculation of accruals and prepayments.

  • To provide support and cover to the wider team, and to input into ad-hoc projects when required.

  • To provide full Balance Sheet reconciliations.

  • Oversee Office bank account payments, reconciliations, and support with Purchase Ledger queries.

  • Review the Office Accounts cashbook processing to ensure accurate and timely posting.

  • To maintain records, postings and ensure appropriate controls surrounding petty cash.

  • To assist with the year-end audit

  • Completion & submission of the quarterly VAT returns.

  • To carry out any reasonable request that may be asked of you by any member of Management .

This is a great opportunity for someone with good commercial experience, looking for a varied role within a niche business offering autonomy and development across a growing group of businesses. Ideally you will be CIMA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified, although the client will consider candidates qualified by experience for this.

Package on offer is looking at a salary between £42,000 - £50,000 + bonus, up to 30 days holiday + bank, enhanced company pension, private BUPA health insurance, 4 x death in service and much more.
