Job Description:

As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial support and analysis to our real estate investment activities. Working closely with the finance team, you will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure the effective management of our investment portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts, for our real estate investment projects.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with stakeholders to develop accurate financial projections and monitor performance against targets.
- Manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, analyze project cash flows, and assess portfolio performance.
- Support the audit process by preparing financial schedules, reconciliations, and documentation, and liaising with external auditors as needed.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, CIS returns, and other tax filings in compliance with regulatory requirements, seeking approval from tax authorities as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including asset management, property management, and finance, to optimize investment performance and achieve strategic objectives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting the real estate investment landscape, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred. Will consider candidates straight from practice
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or real estate finance, preferably within the real estate investment sector.
- Strong proficiency in financial accounting software (e.g., Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and relevant tax regulations governing real estate investments in the UK.
- Previous experience in a real estate investment firm or property management company is desirable.
- Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.
