Management Accountant | Wirral | Innovative Manufacturer | Up to £45,000

Job Overview:

Axon Moore are delighted to be partnering with a growing & highly acquisitive Manufacturing business in The Wirral who're looking for an experienced, part-qualified Management Accountant. You will support the Financial Controller with the preparation and presentation of financial reports to senior management teams, gaining insight into business performance.

Salary: up to £45,000

Location: Wirral

Main Duties:
  • Responsible for the production of monthly management accounts in accordance with US GAAP principles including journals, reconciliations, overhead analysis.
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee inter-company invoicing and reconciling group balances.
  • Responsible for maintaining the standard cost of Raw Materials, WIP and Finished Goods
  • Understanding and reporting all productions variances in a timely manner. Implementing changes / improvements, alongside the production team, to resolve costing or process issues.
  • Monitoring costs against budgets and investigating variances
  • Preparation of weekly cash flow forecasting.
  • Production of quarterly VAT Returns.


Person Specification:
  • Part-qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA
  • Excellent Excel skills (to include pivot tables, lookups, if statements)
  • Experience of SAP desirable
  • Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial members of staff
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to work independently
