Reed Engineering are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician needed in Reading, Berkshire for a full-time role. The successful candidate will assist with daily maintenance tasks and reactive repairs  in a hospital setting. Responsibilities also include Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), general repairs, and participation in an on-call rota.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Assist with daily maintenance tasks and reactive repairs.
  • Maintain and update décor throughout the hospital when required.
  • Undertake PPM and general repairs.
  • Participate in an on-call rota one week in four.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Utilise fault-finding skills to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Work well under pressure and as part of a team to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Tradesperson or maintenance engineer experience
  • Entry-level City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations
  • Good fault-finding skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Full clean driving license
