Do you have experience of putting up scaffolding for maintenance works? If so then we have a permanent role on, to join a maintenance team who support both the Mechanical and Electrical operations at a site based near to Southampton in Hampshire.

This scaffolding relating role has specific responsibilities including civil and groundwork as well as high-pressure jet washing - it's a varied role, working at a plant who manufacture complex products that are then sold and distributed around the globe!

This role pays a basic of up to £35,800 with up to £7000 on overtime typically achievable. There is a call rota yet this would only ever utilised in significant situations which is rare.

Working 36.25 hours a week across Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, they offer a strong pension,25 days holiday (up to 28 through service), enhanced paternity/maternity pay,subsidised canteen, cycle scheme, on site gym free of charge, employee assistance and suggestion bonus's, plus discounted activities subsidised by the company and other great company benefits.

Day to day you'll work either directly on the manufacturing plant or the sites infrastructure. This includes the critical functions of the site. Work can be of a planned preventative or breakdown nature and includes civils works, scaffolding, simple rigging, jet-washing and grit-blasting activities.

So what do I need?

The right candidate will have a background in civil engineering/groundwork and scaffolding installation. They'll train you to drive a JCB Digger and other small excavation machinery and full training will be provided for all other activities.
