An exciting opportunity has come up for an Electrically Biased Engineer to work for a world-renowned packaging company that is a leading provider of corrugated packaging within the UK. The ideal engineer will be dedicated to improving their own skill set but have enough experience to work as part of a unit or autonomously.  

Maintenance Engineer        

£40,000 - £47,500

Chesterfield 

Shift Pattern – 3 on 3 off.

Our client is offering a salary reflecting experience with the potential to earn a £150 bonus per month, 25 days holiday plus bank, EAP scheme, 6% private pension, plus company benefits including trips out to the likes of Alton Towers/Doncaster races and more.

The Maintenance Engineer will be dealing with installs, fault finding, breakdowns and general maintenance of packaging equipment, which includes Casemakers, Gluers, Colour Printers and Die Cutters. This is a great opportunity for an engineer to put their own stamp on the company as well as working in a fast paced and growing environment.

Responsibilities include

  • Supporting the department with Breakdowns & PPM & TPM
  • Responsible for identifying necessary parts and equipment required for repairs & improvements.
  • To carry out both electrical and mechanical installations within skill set
  • Some fault-finding on PLC’s.
  • You will effectively lead and service and repair the machinery equipment & assets. You will be required to work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic,
  • Having further experience of dealing with invertors, relays, AC & DC motor Drives.
  • Must be comfortable with big machinery.
  • Company is big on customer service, experience with dealing with clients and suppliers.

Essential:

  • Experience of corrugated packaging machinery or similar is a major advantage.
  • Breakdown, installation, and general maintenance experience with the occasional installation.
  • Must be adaptable and be able to provide solutions to engineering issues.
  • Have an HNC, HND or at least NVQ level 3 qualification in electrical engineering.
  • If you are multi skilled and have your 18th edition, then this qualification is also acceptable.
  • 3-5 years of experience in packaging or related industry.
  • Must be up to date with H&S codes and standards.
  • Provide support to other engineers and work as a unit, but also work autonomously.
