Location: Hitchin

Salary: £24,000 - depending on experience, potential to increase this

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4.45pm, early finish Fridays

Machinist - Key Responsibilities:

• Read Factory Work Order to include “special instructions” and produce items according to the specifications.
• Ensure orders are complete prior to sending the product to the next workstation.
• Improve work process efficiencies by communicating ideas and or procedures in sewing.
• Ensure that aprons being sewn follow a specific sewing instruction.
• Ensure work is being completed in correct priority order to Daily work schedule.
• Clarify with Production Supervisor any questions regarding work orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area, to include blowing down the machine and making minor preventative maintenance of machines

Machinist - Skills and Experience:

• Experience as a Machinist or using sewing machines
• Experience in a commercial environment is desirable but not essential
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to independently follow through all assignments to completion.
