Job Title: Machine Technician
Location: Strood
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - rotating shifts
- Monday to Friday - 6am to 2pm
- Monday to Friday - 2pm to 10pm
Salary: Dependent On Experience
About the business:
My client designs and manufactures corrugated packaging. My client's business operates in the rapidly growing corrugated packaging market and the materials the company works with have strong green credentials and are playing a leading role in the war against single use plastic.
Purpose of a Machine Technician:
To work within a team of up to 5 people operating machinery to produce corrugated packaging at our manufacturing site in Strood in a growing business and developing a range of skills in different processes.
Key Responsibilities of a Machine Technician:The successful candidate will be given a detailed training plan that will offer a clear path of progression including an increase in salary. The responsibility of a Machine Technician includes:
- Learning to operate manufacturing machinery that includes some manual handling and lifting.
- Working in a small team environment to hit daily and weekly manufacturing
- Ensuring that the product you produce meets our high-quality
- Ensuring you keep you working environment clean and
Key skills of a Machine Technician:
- GSCE in Maths and English - C and above
- A desire to work in a manufacturing
- Strong organisational skills
- Works well under pressure
- Some knowledge of Microsoft Office would be beneficial.
The basic annual leave entitlement is 20 working days. Additional holidays are based on length of service up to a maximum of 25 days.
