Machine Operator

Here at Impact Recruitment we are hiring a Machine Operator for one of our clients based in Northampton. They are looking for an individual who can support across various machinery in their small workshop. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC, Print, Guillotine or Die-Cutting machines.

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 (Higher bracket achieved with specific machine experience)

Hours: 8am - 4:30pm

Location: Northampton (NN3)

Responsibilities:

• Operate a variety of machinery to produce finished rolls, laminates, and custom die-cut parts made from self-adhesive materials for diverse manufacturing industries.
• Processes will involve the operation of machines designed for the slitting/rewinding/laminating/die cutting/sheeting and various other production processes.
• Accurately calculating lengths widths and quantities of materials based on production specifications.
• Use measuring tools like rulers, verniers, callipers, and scales for precise measurement and accurate data recording.
• Maintain and clean equipment and production areas to uphold workplace standards.
• Oversee customer orders from initial setup to completion, ensuring quality control, consistent presentation, packing, labelling, palletising, and associated paperwork.
• Handling of raw materials, including receipt of goods-in and despatch of finished goods. Operate handling equipment such as pallet trucks, trolleys, lifting equipment, tooling, and forklift truck (training may be given).
• Raw materials in bulk form can be heavy so some lifting and handling will be required with or without assistance.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors, adaptable to changing role requirements. i.e. moving to different machines or tasks.
