My distribution client is looking for a bright, well organised and adaptable person with a can-do attitude to help with all aspects of logistics coordination.

This position requires strong communication skills, knowledge of logistics management, and the ability to analyse data.

  • Assisting with the logistics of managing inbound and outbound stock in a busy warehouse
  • Communicate delivery date information to customers and distributors, keeping them fully advised of any changes.
  • Manage orders for weekly consolidated despatches to distributors, freight forwarders and keep customers and distributors informed.
  • Develop pro-active engagement with freight providers.
  • Working with logistics colleagues and internal customers to support them in dealing with delivery issues and how to work together to resolve them.
  • Use internal database system for the management of logistics and customer deliveries activities and ensure timely updating.
  • Taking on any other tasks and ad hoc duties as requested to support the wider business

What are we looking for

  • Previous transport/logistics experience is essential.
  • A team player and natural collaborator as well as confident in working independently.
  • Ability to use Microsoft packages including Excel, Word and Outlook proficiently.
  • Previous experience of working with a Stock Management System
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Effective organisation skills with an acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner.
