Locum Education Paralegal – up to £25 per hour Umbrella – Midlands – 3 Months +

Position: Locum Education Paralegal

Organisation: Midlands based Local Authority

Duration: 3 months initial contract pending further extension

Working Pattern: Full time ideally but part time candidates who possess the relevant experience may also be considered

Working Arrangement: Predominantly Remote Working with occasional office presence required

Hourly Rate: £20-25 per hour Umbrella (dependant on experience)

This is a position ideally looking for those who have existing experience of working within Local Government and Education Law. However, candidates who possess experience with Private Practice specialising in Education Law are still encouraged to apply.

Duties may include:

  • Knowledge of and ability to apply and interpret Education related Law
  • Draft client emails for Tribunal cases and Create bundles/supplemental bundles
  • Liaise closely with clients and support the Education Lawyers
  • Take instructions, provide general advice on Education matters and carry out research
  • Prepare applications and responses and draft documents and correspondence
  • Liaise with witnesses and attend meetings when required
  • Draft Requests to the Tribunal under the guidance of the Solicitor
