Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer – Predominantly Remote Working – 3 months + - up to £55 per hour Umbrella – Midlands
Position: Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer
Organisation: Midlands based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months +
Working Hours: Part-time (15-20 hours)
Working Arrangement: Predominantly remote working, office attendance is preferred once a week
Hourly Rate: Up to £55 per hour Umbrella
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority and will have a broad working understanding of Civil Litigation matters to deal with a varied caseload.
Duties may include:
- Dealing with matters regarding judicial review, contractual claims
- Dealing with Housing Act Enforcement/Himo, Planning Enforcements; drafting relevant notices prior to laying information
- Responsible for Intellectual Property Litigation including infringement claims, Planning Enforcement notices & dispersal powers
- Preparing claims for trial including full use of Civil Procedure Rules 1998
- Dealing with multi-track, fast-track and small claims track Property Litigation Claims
- Drafting summons, indictments, case summaries and disclosure requests
- Advising departmental offices and liaising with defence Solicitors and members of the public
