Litigation Legal Assistant (12-Month Contract With Potential To Go Permanent) - Norwich

New opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary, PA, Assistant or Paralegal to join a long-standing and successful Norwich based firm within their Litigation department as a Disputes Legal Assistant.

This opportunity is being offered on a 12-month fixed term contract basis (with strong potential to turn permanent) and can also be offered on a full time or part-time basis.

The ideal candidate will hold previous / current experience supporting within a busy Litigation team, however, with a strong level of experience and knowledge within the team, they are able to offer initial training and supervision to someone who is looking to progress their legal career and develop an expertise within Litigation work.

Please note, prior experience working within a law firm at Legal Secretary, PA, Assistant or Paralegal level is essential.

General duties will include:

  • Speaking with and managing clients’ needs professionally and keeping clients informed about the progress of their cases.
  • Drafting and preparing legal documentation, including witness statements and court forms.
  • Preparing court bundles.
  • Undertaking legal research.
  • Taking details and arranging initial meetings.
  • General administrative tasks to include assisting with case management, file compliance, filing, scanning, carrying out ID checks etc.
