Leisure Facilities and Contract Manager

Our local authority client is looking for an experienced Leisure Facilities and Contract Manager to join their busy team based in Hammersmith. Full details below:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • To provide efficient and effective management and supervision of the Linford Christie
  • Stadium/Outdoor Sports Centre and its operations.
  • To develop and promote the use of the stadium and its facilities.
  • To provide a high-quality service and be responsible for the care and maintenance of all aspects of the stadium, its facilities, grounds and sports surfaces.
  • Provide oversite for the borough`s paddling pool/splash pad’s, ensuring they are effectively maintained, and that they are effectively managed through the council`s sports booking’s team
  • To monitor the leisure centre management contracts to ensure they provide a high-quality service within the borough.
  • To ensure the Health, Safety and Wellbeing of all users, in council contracted sport and
  • leisure services.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • An in-depth understanding of Leisure and Sports Development operations and delivery in Public Sector with demonstrable experience in developing effective stakeholder relationships and partnerships.
  • Awareness of the issues facing the leisure industry post-covid, particularly in relation to service redesign, efficiencies and service delivery
  • Knowledge and experience of capital project management from initiation to closure.
