Office based position

£26,000 - £30,000

The role

My client is looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join their Private Client team. This individual will be responsible for supporting fee earners within the team with secretarial duties, including but not limited to:

  • Typing correspondence and other written communications, word processing and typing from documentation or audio dictation.
  • Diary management for fee earners, including booking of meeting rooms
  • Undertaking file closing activities
  • Assisting with billings such as putting together billing guides and submitting invoices for payment
  • Maintaining accurate time records
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks or duties as and when required by the team or senior management.
  • Liaising with clients via email and phone and taking relevant and clear messages.

About you

  • Have at least 1 years’ experience working as a legal secretary within private client (or other areas such as family, court of protection etc)
  • Be proactive and able to work under minimal supervision (support for development and progression will be available but they need someone that can hit the ground running)
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A great communicator with individuals of varying levels of seniority
  • Fantastic customer service skills
