Legal Secretary – Litigation

Full time, permanent role

Holborn, London

Role is office based

Salary up to £38,000 (DOE)

My client is a law firm based in Holborn, and they’re seeking an experienced litigation secretary to join their team. The firm have a friendly, energetic and collaborative culture and are a group of down to earth solicitors and legal professionals that genuinely come into the office, do their work and have a good laugh.

You will be providing administrative support to several of the partners, so prior experience working as a litigation secretary is essential. There are 2 litigation secretaries currently in the team that support fee earners, but due to an increase in work, they need another secretary to support with the workload.

Responsibilities

  • Document production – audiotyping, preparing, maintaining and organising legal files and documents
  • Telephone and email management
  • Scheduling & diarising deadlines and fee earners calendars
  • Assisting with trial preparation, including bundling
  • Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information for cases
  • Invoicing
  • Photocopying, scanning and dealing with post

About you

  • Previous experience as a legal secretary or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures within litigation
  • You must have strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when typing
  • Experienced in MS Office Suite and other softwares such as AbobePro and Docusign.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
