Legal Compliance Officer/Manager/Solicitor York

A friendly and collaborative legal practice based in York is looking to recruit an experienced compliance professional who either has previous experience of working in a legal compliance team or who has previous compliance experience but would be interested in making a transition into a legal environment.

As long as candidates applying for this role can show previous compliance-related experience, this role is open to anyone with or without formal qualifications. This role is also open to qualified solicitors who are already working in the compliance space, or any solicitors who might be looking for an opportunity to retrain their skills in a different area.

A key focus for this role will be to support my client's Head of Compliance in ensuring that the organisation meets regulatory obligations and requirements, in addition to supporting my client's wider workforce in responding to regulatory changes. You would provide support on audits, reports and the monitoring of trends as well as working on the development and rolling-out of projects designed to increase awareness and proactively mitigate any compliance issues that may arise.

This role is based in York and therefore candidates interested in applying for this role must live within a commutable distance of the York area. It will be a hybrid role, however depending on your level of experience there may be further upskilling and training required to take place in-person in the early stages of the role.
