We are looking to recruit a Legal Cashier for a permanent opportunity with a highly regarded firm based in Edgbaston.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Processing of Billing
  • Dealing with all day-to-day ledger postings to Client and Office accounts
  • BACS/CHAPS payments
  • Bank Account reconciliation.
  • Checking Bills and Completion Statements
  • Credit Control
  • Purchase Ledgers
  • Inputting HMLR and Card Payments
  • Dealing with Dormant Balances
  • Supporting the accounts team with general administration of accounts
  • Working with fee earners to ensure matter balances are kept accurate and up to date.

About the Person:

To be a successful candidate for this role you must also have the following attributes, skills and experience:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Cashier or similar role
  • Familiarity with legal billing processes is a plus.
  • Have knowledge of SRA Account Rules
  • Have a strong attention to detail and be able to work quickly under pressure.
  • Knowledge of annual audit and inspection processes
  • Understanding of basic banking processes
  • Being able to maintain confidentiality to our internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrate reliability, organisation and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexible attitude, ability to deal with multiple tasks.
