Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Legal Cashier for a law firm based in Lancaster, Lancashire. The firm are actively seeking a motivated, hard-working and ambitious team member to join their legal accounts department. You will benefit from 23 days holiday plus bank holidays and flexible working hours.
Role Responsibilities
The incoming Legal Cashier will be offered an interesting and varied role with the possibility of taking their accounts career into practice management.
Key tasks will include:
- Preparation of management accounts and budgeting.
- Bank & Ledger reconciliations.
- Civil and criminal LAA billing.
- Private client billing.
- Completion of month end/year end procedures.
- Cash Flow Reports.
- VAT returns.
- General banking functions.
- Management and reconciliation of petty cash.
- Credit card reconciliation.
- Human resources and marketing.
Person Specification
The successful Legal Cashier will have strong communication skills both written and spoken with a 'can do’ attitude. You will also have:
- Legal Accounts qualifications or experience
- Working Knowledge of Solicitors’ Account Rules
- Interest in career progression to Practice Manager level
