Are you an experienced educator looking for a new challenge? Have you ever considered working within Prison Education?

Weston College is the regional education provider for the Prison Education Framework (PEF) contract across the South West of England and we are expanding our team.

As a Generalist Cover Lecturer, you will regularly deliver English and Maths courses, and may be asked to deliver other subjects as required, depending on the needs of the prison.

This post is full-time, working 37 hours per week.

When you join the team at Weston College, you will be joining a multi-award-winning organisation which is one of the fasted growing colleges in the UK.

As an employee of Weston College you will have access to a huge range of benefits and support, including but not limited to:

  • Wellbeing @ Weston hub, providing well-being support for all;
  • A staff welfare officer;
  • Confidential Employee Assistance Programme (available 24/7, 365 days a year);
  • Access to Mental Health First Aiders, and the opportunity to complete this training yourself;
  • Training and development opportunities;
  • Great progression opportunities;
  • Generous pension schemes.

Although we are an education provider, you don’t necessarily need experience within the education sector to apply for a role with us. If you have relevant and transferable skills, we would welcome your application.

Weston College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The successful candidate will be required to obtain the appropriate prison clearance before starting the role.

Please be aware that Weston College reserves the right to close this vacancy early should sufficient applications be received.

Due to the volume of recruitment, we are unable to offer feedback to any unsuccessful candidates.
