Greater London Authority – Learning and Development Advisor

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary. Hybrid working.

Location: City Hall, E16 1ZE

The Greater London Authority are looking for a proactive Capability and Leadership Advisor to work closely with the Head of Capability and Learning and other People Function colleagues on a 6-month interim basis. The role involves implementing policies and programmes to support Capability and Learning development and management across the organisation.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Establish and maintain effective networks with stakeholders to achieve objectives.
  • Support the development and implementation of crosscutting projects, programmes, and policies related to Capability and Learning.
  • Work with the business partner team to provide advice, support, and coaching on the implementation of Capability and Learning related policies and initiatives.
  • Lead on communications of the Capability and Learning agenda and engage with staff networks, including working with internal communications and responding to enquiries.
  • Provide high-level secretariat to senior decision forums, enabling effective oversight of the Capability and Learning agenda by senior stakeholders.
  • Assist senior officers in data analysis, reporting, and responding to scrutiny on Capability and Learning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in learning and development, capability building, or a related field.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder networks and relationships.
  • Knowledge of current legislative changes and best practices in learning and development.
