Lead Verification & Validation Engineer
My client are on the lookout for a Lead Verification and Validation Engineer to join their team and contribute to the development of an expanding portfolio of control products tailored for the automotive sector. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Electronic Systems during a period of exciting growth and multiple project launches. Lead Verification & Validation Engineer Responsibilities
- Understand software and hardware integration for accurate testing.
- Anticipate and address integration challenges across subsystems.
- Design test setups that reflect real-world conditions accurately.
- Specify and design test rigs tailored to V&V requirements.
- Maintain and update V&V tool chains for optimal performance.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and specs, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- Lead and support V&V engineers, ensuring clear direction and resources
- Identify and implement new testing capabilities as needed.
- Collaborate closely with project and engineering teams.
- Report on technical progress and manage issue resolution efficiently
Lead V&V Engineer Requirements:
- 8 years experience in defining system test approaches integrating software, electronics, and mechanics compliant with standards like ASPICE, ISO26262, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with CAN tools such as Vector CANape and CANoe for communication testing.
- Ideally, hands-on experience with NI tool chain, LABVIEW, MATLAB, Simulink, and C language.
- Ability to develop software tools for testing purposes, including scripts and regression testing.
- Experience in specifying, designing, building, and validating Production End-of-Line (EOL) rigs or similar test setups.
- Strong background in electrical/electronic systems.
- Expertise in planning and executing tests based on requirements, both core and derived.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills to ensure effective collaboration within the team and with stakeholders.
