This is a very exciting and progressive opportunity for a Lead Mechanical Fitter looking to progress within a leading Commercial Explosive Manufacturer in the UK. This is an onsite role based out of Alfreton, Derbyshire, Monday to Friday.

The Lead Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for:
  • The Lead Mechanical Fitter will be in charge of maintenance and compliance of Mechanical plant and all associated systems.
  • Making sure plant is maintained to the highest standards minimising reactive jobs.
  • Contributing to improvement of the plant equipment to company regulated standards.
  • Ensuring that all mechanical equipment used on site complies the required industry standards.
 The Lead Mechanical Fitter will need to have: 
  • Experience as Lead Mechanical Fitter with exposure to modern technology machinery, or pump machinery.
  • Time served qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • General Plant and machine maintenance 
Desirables:
  • Someone who can write and review maintenance procedures in line with manufacturer guidance.
  • Experience dealing with computerised maintenance systems.
  • Experience working on a COMAH Site.
