Lead AV Engineer (Marine)

London £30,000 - £40,000 | OTE £36K - £52K

The Company:

Our client is a specialist integrator of AV, IT, and networks within the marine and residential sector. With over 40 years of industry experience and multiple awards, they have cemented their reputation as a go-to provider for superyacht installations.

The Role:

We are seeking a Lead AV Engineer to join our team and take charge of IT, network, AV, and security system installations within high-end superyachts across Europe. This role will require regular international travel.

Key Duties:

  • Assembling AV racks in our Hertfordshire warehouse.
  • 1st and 2nd fix installation of AV/IT hardware, access control, and CCTV systems.
  • Commissioning of networks and audio DSPs.
  • Maintaining and updating project documentation.
  • Interpreting and working from schematic drawings.
  • Reporting project progress to the Project Manager.
  • Acting as the point of contact on-site for all technical queries.
  • Leading teams of permanent staff and subcontractors.
  • Travelling to the office when required.

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • 2+ years of experience in marine or residential AV installation.
  • Experience with network configuration.
  • Experience with audio DSP configuration, such as BSS or QSC.
  • A good understanding of Crestron DM and NVX.
  • A valid passport.
  • A willingness to travel and work away from home at short notice and on a regular basis.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • A European passport.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Package Details:

  • A salary ranging between £30K- £40K, depending on experience.
  • 1.5X overtime rates - most engineers earn an extra 20-30% of their annual salary in overtime.
  • All expenses covered and an overnight allowance provided for nights away.
  • 23 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • A statutory pension.
  • Tools provided.
