Laboratory Technician

  • Full-time and permanent role
  • Location: Suffolk

Reed Scientific are partnering with a leading connectivity solutions designer and manufacturer who are looking for a Laboratory Technician with physics and ideally plastics background to support the R&D team and work alongside cross functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Testing equipment maintenance
  • Preparing samples for mechanical and environmental testing
  • Development of test procedures and setting up tests in accordance with international and internal standards
  • Recording test results and writing reports for cross functional teams
  • Providing technical support to NPD projects
  • Liaising with third parties regarding outsourced testing
  • Auditing performance of finished products

The candidate:

  • Educated to minimum bachelor’s degree in physics or similar, and ideally a background in plastics (either academic or work experience)
  • Manufacturing industry and test laboratory experience would be an advantage
  • Has the full right to work in the UK. Please note that VISA sponsorship is not offered for this role.
  • Driving licence holder, due to the site location
