Laboratory Technician - Electrical - MC269992

Lab Technician required for a laboratory offering testing of a wide variety of lighting and electronics products based in Bridgend.

Laboratory Technician - Electrical / Lighting Overview

  • Perform testing of lighting products in Safety and Photometry test laboratories.
  • Planning and completion of testing allocated samples in a timely manner.
  • Set up, conduct and record practical work.
  • Analyse output records and calculations.
  • Complete standardised test results worksheets for customers.
  • Takes responsibility for the completion of tasks.
  • Takes responsibility for and maintains laboratory areas and test equipment.
  • Continual contribution towards the laboratory's conformance to ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
  • Work with senior management to identify issues in operational efficiency and propose solutions to these issues and in some case to implement the changes necessary, in line with ISO/IEC 17025 quality management system.

Laboratory Technician - Electrical / Lighting Position Requirements

  • BTEC, HND or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • GCSE in Maths and English essential
  • GCSE ICT or equivalent desirable
