Lab Assistant, Chemistry, 4-6 month contract, COR5650

A leading Life Sciences company based on the Oxford Science Park, requires a Lab Assistant to carry out a variety of lab tasks such as quality control method development, HPLC Analysis, mixing formulations, specimen preparation, etc.  The Lab Assistant will be required to work 5 days per week onsite in the laboratory.

The Role

Working within a state of the art facility as part of a friendly team, the Lab Assistant will be given full training, Standard Operating Procedures to follow, and the necessary support and supervision, to carry out a wide variety of lab tasks.  Full training will be provided, so this work could suit either a recently Chemistry graduate, or someone with existing commercial experience as a Lab Assistant.

What’s required from the Lab Technician?

• Previous experience in a laboratory setting - either commercial or through academia
• A background in Chemistry is preferred, but is not essential
• The ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
