An opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join a market-leading food wholesaler and distributor, you’ll focus on developing business across specialised sectors including healthcare, education, pubs, hotels, hospitality and leisure covering the Devon and Cornwall.

Responsibilities of a Key Account Manager:

  • To win, retain and develop new customers and grow existing customer share of wallet, including group consortia and regional accounts.
  • To maximise the full business potential and cash return.
  • To work closely with the telesales teams, category specialists, NAMs and suppliers to create leads

You'll convert customers using strong sales and negotiation skills through the delivery of value-added initiatives and solutions to meet a wide range of customer needs.

You’ll bring determination, tenacity and a genuine passion for all things food-related to get in front of hard-to-reach decision makers, and the flexible and results-driven approach required to convert them. This will be backed up with drive and motivation, and the ability to work cohesively within a team whilst using your own capabilities to deliver results through your own actions.

Requirements:

  • Field based key account management/new business experience managing a multi-million-pound ledger
  • Consultative selling experience
  • A track record of exceeding sales revenue and profit targets
  • A passion for food

Package:

On offer is a basic salary of £40,425, an OTE of £15 - £18,000, car allowance £6,600, 25 days holiday, contributory pension plus many more corporate benefits.
