Junior Paraplanner to Parapl Supervisor - Chelmsford - £28- £35K (DOE) + Study Support & Benefits

An excellent opportunity has risen for an established Independent financial Firm based practice in Essex. They provide high-quality financial and investment planning service across the whole market. Due to expansion and internal promotions, my client is looking to take on a Junior Paraplanner position.

They are looking for someone who is flexible and confident to provide their input as the team continues to develop and grow.

I am looking for a candidate with previous technical experience in a Financial Administrator or Paraplanner role. Ideally you will come from an independent firm of Financial Advisers.

The Position: Junior Paraplanner

• Fully analyse clients’ requirements, help Advisers develop cash flow models and accurately record client data.

• Research and analyse financial products to meet client requirements and objectives.

• Preparing the CFR, Advice set and technical file notes.
• Construct financial planning solutions (mainly investments & retirement planning- New monies and working towards replacement) supported by the production of computer models and reports.

• Prepare suitability letters and reports (liaising with administrators), taking full responsibility for the client files and back-office IT records throughout the advice process.

• Arrange client Drawdown review packs, along with producing income.
• Sustainability calculations when needed.

• Deal with general client queries and attend client meetings

You will:

Your main role will involve research and report writing and as such all candidates.

• Experience working within a Financial Planning or Wealth Management Firm is essential.
• An understanding of paraplanning with knowledge around Suitability report writing is desirable.
• Progress towards the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent would be advantageous.
• Personable professional who is comfortable dealing with clients both written and verbally.
• A good understand and knowledge around pensions and investments.

Essentially the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised, and to always have the clients’ best interests in mind in all aspects of this Junior Paraplanner position.
