Manufacturing Futures is looking to appoint a Junior Metallurgist to work in a company where they can grow and develop their skill set. The ideal candidate will be degree educated (as a minimum) and ideally have 1-2 years industry experience in Metallurgy or Materials Technology. The role is very hands on so experience with machinery is advantageous.

Junior Metallurgist / Materials Technology / Metals / Thermomechanical

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve metallurgical processes in conjunction with customers and internal departments
  • Experience of hands on Metallurgy
  • Manage, monitor and advice on hot material conversion
  • Design and prepare production routes
  • Prepare methods of manufacture
  • Investigate non-conformance

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in Metallurgy or relevant Materials Technology discipline
  • 1-2 Years Minimum hands-on industry experience
