This growing rapidly growing financial planning function is looking for an enthusiastic individual to grow, develop and support a range of financial planning, analysis and reporting activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate (Finance, Accountancy or Economics) or AAT professional, looking to take on their first permanent role within financial services and work towards a professional accounting qualification (study support provided).

Purpose of the role

  • To assist in all areas of income and cost analysis, forecasting and reporting for the Financial Planning and Analysis Team.
  • To assist in the production of the organisations management reporting packs
  • Assist in KPI reporting and monitoring
  • To assist in trend and sensitivity analysis, forecasting and cost optimisation modelling
  • To assist in the production of the organisationas five-year planning and reforecast processes
  • To undertake analytical reviews, variance analysis, and commentary on the group P&L
  • To maintain broker consensus and assist in market monitoring
  • To develop and maintain trusted relationships across the organization whilst ensuring high quality deliverables.

About The Candidate Skills

  • Have a passion for finance, economics & business studies
  • Educated to degree level with at least 2.1 attainment grade or AAT-qualified
  • Have experience through study or prior roles of working with P&Ls and balance sheets
  • Proficient in Excel & Powerpoint
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrate an inquisitive and questioning mindset
  • Willing to study or currently studying for CIMA or ACCA
  • Be an excellent communicator both verbally and in the written form
  • Be able to adopt a logical and systematic approach to problem solving
  • Be flexible and able to adapt within a changing environment
  • Be able to prioritise tasks and meet challenging deadlines

Qualifications and experience

  • AAT qualified or a degree in accountancy, economics or mathematics with a view towards further study in an accounting professional qualification (study support provided).
