Job Title: Junior Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Nottingham
Type: Permanent
Salary: £24-26,000
Shifts: Monday to Friday

Kelly Services are recruiting for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer for a leading Nottingham based company who specialise in providing specific solutions to the printing industry and other manufacturing companies.
Our customer has over 45 years experience, supplying products to customers in Europe and throughout the rest of the world.

Your new job
The role will involve working within the technical department team of mechanical designers and software engineers, taking projects through the hardware design phases creating schematic drawings for control cabinets and distributed controls using EPLAN P8. You will also be using Draft sight for machine layouts.

Key Features:

  • Understanding of IEC 81346 1,2
  • Design of LV electrical circuitry using electrical design software
  • Specify correct sizing of components to loads and duty.
  • Specify correct types and sizing of cables to loads and duty.
  • Work with panel wiring department on modification and test
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Design Skills A sound working knowledge of the machinery standards, in particular ISO 13849-1:2015 & 2006/42/EC, 2014/35/EU
  • Experience of safety system configuration up to PL'd'.


Skills you need to succeed

  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken


Beneficial skills

  • Basic EPLAN Skills
  • Siemens S7 experience - hardware configuration
  • Sistema safety software
  • UL / CSA electrical standards



Qualifications

  • HNC / D in Electrical Engineering or above

  • To adhere to all production documentation and instructions or drawings detailing the correct method of production.
  • Use all tooling in a safe and effective manner for the purpose it was intended.

  • Actively engage in any Company training programs to ensure that your skills and level of training are of the highest obtainable level and that you are fully flexible and able to build the widest range of products.
  • Ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Maintain and promote good Health & Safety standards in your area and across the company
