Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of firmware and other software projects.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior developers and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users and community members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by users, ranging from simple configuration problems to more complex software bugs.
  • Document solutions and contribute to the community knowledge base.
  • Engage with the open-source community through forums and social media.
  • Contribute to community discussions, offering insights and recommendations for software improvements.

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in programming with languages such as C, C++, Python, or Rust.
  • Familiarity with software development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Passion for technology and a desire to make a positive impact in the tech community.
  • Basic understanding of hardware, firmware, and low-level software interactions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to tackle challenges head-on and independently find solutions to problems.
  • A team player with strong collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable working in an office that has a dog.
  • Car driver due to remote location of office.
