An exciting opportunity to join our Residential Finance & Accounting Team as a Junior Data Analyst.

Role Overview :

As a Junior Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our finance team by organising, analysing and reporting on large sets of data to help make informed business decisions. We are looking for a candidate with an analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving. 

You should have a passion for using data to tell a story, and be adept at presenting financial information to both financial and non-financial key stakeholders. 

You should strive to continuously improve the data collection and analysis processes, staying updated with industry trends and new analytical techniques. 

Advanced Excel skills are a must, and experience with SQL and other programming languages is desirable. 

Experience creating PowerBI dashboards to visualize data is advantageous, and an interest in finance or a financial background would also set you apart from other candidates.  

Team Overview :

The Residential Finance team are a team of 7, made up of two Directors and 5 Associate Directors.

We are based in the Margaret Street head office, and provide financial support to help manage our network of UK Residential Sales and Lettings offices, as well as our Global Residential network of owned offices and associates.

It's a fast-paced working environment where teamwork is at the heart of what we do.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Collating and analysing large sets of both financial and non-financial data
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity through the analysis process.
  • Identify trends and extract meaningful insights to report back to key stakeholders
  • Preparation of visually appealing reports and presentations
  • Identify business challenges and formulate data-driven solutions
  • Stay updated with industry trends and new analytical techniques
  • Use data modelling to assist with divisional forecasting 

Key Skills :

  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Proven ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, capable of articulating financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with SQL and other programming languages an advantage
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
