Junior Buyer

R13 Recruitment are currently assisting a reputable retailer in their search for a Junior Buyer to join the team. As a Junior Buyer you will be new to your career, with an eagerness to learn and develop.

This is a full time, permanent position working 9am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday based in Norwich, with occasional National and International Travel, and is offering a competitive salary depending on experience.

The day to day

• Analysing market trends and company activity to ensure effective sales potential and optimising buying strategy.
• Supporting the Buying team, managing internal and external communications, maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Negotiating pricing with key suppliers.
• Ensuring products are safety compliant, and are merchandised within company and brand guidelines.

You will have/be

• Some experience in buying & procurement.
• Excellent communication & negotiation skills coupled with the ability to develop strong working relationships both internal & external.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure and with own initiative.
• Self-motivated and adaptable nature, and ability to make business decisions.
• Good IT skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
