Self-Employed with a great commission structure

Remote working - Offices located in Southend-on-Sea but candidates will need to attend the office for team meetings and training.

Our client based in Southend is looking to expand their friendly team of insurance professionals who are committed to supporting the UK SME market by helping them address financial risks.

This role would suit candidates who have previous exposure to the industry or who have recently started their journey. You will be required to undertake R01, R03 and R05 exams within 12-months, so would suit an individual who is already taking these exams or someone who is dedicated to studying for these exams.

Role Description

This self-employed advisor role requires the successful applicant to generate new business, service existing sources of introductions, advise clients, submit applications and package in line with FCA regulations with the goal of growing pipeline and revenue for themselves and the Company. Liaise with case management to ensure smooth process until policies are on risk. Follow up with clients annually to ensure changes in circumstances are reflected in the advice and to make follow up recommendations where appropriate.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Understanding - to complete own research and 'on the job’ training to have a complete grasp of the various business protection policies, advice process, the market, insurer criteria and process. To maintain CPD record.
  • Qualifications - to undertake R01, R03 and R05 exams within 12-months
  • Promotion - To work with the team on marketing campaigns both in person and online. Grow and maintain social media presence. Expected to be available some evenings to help promote the business and entertain clients. This may sometimes be at short notice.
  • Lead generation & networking - Cold calling companies and professionals to generate leads. Research, organise and attend networking events.
  • Advice - support clients throughout the advice process, ensuring relevant professional introductions are made where suitable. Deliver suitable, relevant and justified advice making reference to extensive research.

Commission Structure

  • 65.00% of the net commission where they have had a quarterly cash in of at least £50,000 in the previous quarter
  • 57.50% of the net commission where they have had a quarterly cash-in between £37,500 and £49,999.99 in the previous quarter
  • 50.00% of the net commission where they have had a quarterly cash-in of under £37,500 in the previous quarter
